SHOPPING VINTAGE
Vintage items by definiton have been worn or used before and often show signs of wear. For the most part, these signs of wear are subtle and do not affect the wearability or look of the item. When an item has what we consider to be more notable imperfections, we will point this out in the product description.

SIZING AND MEASUREMENTS
Vintage sizing can be tricky, as sizing has changed over time. Actual size labels will be noted when they appear on the item. However, these may not accurately reflect a modern equivalent. The best way to ensure a proper fit is to go by the measurements noted in the item description.
Clothing
Clothing is sometimes pinned on the model for better fit.
All pieces are measured in inches, laying flat on a table. For bust, waist, and hip, the measurements are doubled.
Shoulders: From shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
Bust: Underarm seam to underarm seam.
Waist: From side seam to side seam where garment naturally narrows.
Hip: Approximately 8" down from waistband from side seam to side seam.
Length: From high point of shoulder seam to the hemline. For skirts, from center front top of waistband to hemline.
Footwear
Footwear tends to run smaller than the marked size.
Length: From back of heel to tip of toe, with shoe standing and ruler flat on table.
Width: Widest part of the sole.
ORDER PROCESSING AND SHIPPING METHODS
We reserve the right to modify or amend the billing methods and shipping policies on this website. These changes will be effective as soon as they are posted on the site.
You are fully liable for any and all charges to your account, including any unauthorized charges.
Once your credit card has been authorized, we process and ship your order within 2-3 days. No processing will be done on weekends or holidays. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday. All domestic orders are shipped by UPS, and we offer 2nd Day Air, 3 Day Select, and Ground. International orders are shipped by USPS, and we offer Express and Priority Mail International. For our international clients, you will be financially responsible for any additional customs charges or taxes imposed.
You will receive email notifications once your credit card has been processed as well as when the item ships.
We are not responsible for delays in shipping or delivery caused by natural disasters or other events out of our control. Once Edith Machinist has delivered the merchandise to the carrier, you will assume the risk of loss and title for the merchandise.
Purchases made through our website cannot be picked up at our store location.
